Extended warranty?

I have a 2024 Expedition XLT with 11,000 miles. When should I consider an extended warranty? What might be the cost? Can you recommend a plan?

I have a 2019 XLT and with all the trips to Ford, the extended warranty I bought with Ford was well worth it. If I remember correctly, the warranty was around $3,500. When it was almost to the 100,000 mile mark I contacted Ford and purchased a new one for 48,000 miles or 4 years, whichever comes first. It's much more costly than the first one, $5,700. The 2019 has already had transmission replaced, as well as many more repairs. I love my SUV but it has been very costly.
