It works fine with the Yamaha generator I have as I saw it run the same rig I’m getting . This isn’t a traditional RV so I’m assuming it’s a smaller AC unit, it requires 2k watts and my Yamaha is a 2200 max.

It must be a little smaller. My single generator won't power my AC, it needs a little more than the generator will handle when it turns on. We don't camp in southern utah in the summer though, we head to the mountains when its hot and go down south in the spring and fall so I really never use the AC. The generator is mostly for emergencies and the occasional microwave use. I just have a single battery on the trailer and it must be getting old because even with the solar panel recharging it all day by morning it was pretty much dead so I was using the generator every morning so the pump could run. There was just enough juice in the battery to run the heater all night. I will need a new battery next year.

Do you know what lithium batteries are in your trailer? I have been looking at lithium (stupid expensive) but have been unsure which direction to go. I would also have to buy a new charge controller as the one I have now for solar doesn't seem to list lithium as an option but the newer version of the control does. I need to do some research there. I could probably get more than double the capacity (or more) with a lithium battery in the same foot print. I have thought about buying cells and putting my own battery together too but need to do some testing there.

I pretty sure it’s two of these (https://4thdsolar.com/collections/lithium-batteries/products/rb100-lithium-battery)

That is super nice! 200ah is a lot of power. Other than AC you can probably make is a lot of days without any power issues.

I don't want to know what your trailer cost if it came with 2 of those! I have seen some really nice overland trailers and they are super sweet. You're going to have a good time with that! I'm not about to spend 2k on a couple batteries thats for sure. I can get a couple 6v golf cart batteries for a couple hundred, of course the are bigger and heavier!

It wasn’t cheap but less than some others. We went for build quality for something we can be rough with for many years.

Those are really nice, I wouldn't mind one someday when I don't have to sleep 7. I have talked to guys in Moab that have the smaller versions, they look super nice. They look really well built and should last forever. They are expensive but when you look at the build quality I don't think they are horrible, a fair price for what you are getting.

I am looking to see if I can fit bigger tires on my trailer, that's the biggest thing that I run into with mine is ground clearance issues and I have been super close to ripping plumbing off the bottom a few times. I have to be super careful when I go through rutted areas. I have taken mine a few places I probably shouldn't have. My buddy met us up in the mountains this summer and he was just following a pin I had dropped in google maps and when he found us he said he almost turned around because he wasn't sure how we would have made it where we were.
