Hey, has anyone seen or thought about a second / extended fuel tank on thier gen 1 Expy? I thought I had seen one that went where the spare goes... I would be up for putting the spare on a swing out or maybe the rack... Would love to have some more gallons of gas for distance.

Titan Fuel tanks makes oversized tanks, mainly for diesel applications. They may have something that would work.

The problem is that they go for well over a grand.

Just a thought, maybe a rear tank from a 93-96 f150 with 2 tanks. it would have a internal pump and they had a check valve that allowed the tanks to be used seperately. you would need a check valve for the regular tank also then a 2 way switch and wiring to the extra tank. maybe someone has one to measure the rear tank to see it it would work.

a bronco tank. its 30 gallons and will fit where the spare goes. you would just have to do all the plumbing.

I have a stock 30 gal fuel tank on my 2000, even at 12mpg that's 360 miles of driving. I need a fuel stop by that time to relieve my bladder.

the bronco tank would work also, but you will still need the line T and check valves from a f series with dual tanks and pumps.
