I just put on some 315s and i am looking for options for a lift. I was wondering how much lift can I get with the torsion twist and adjusting the height sensor for the air ride? or should i go with the conversion kit ? I ve read that the monroe sensa track 58518 front coilovers give a 2 " lift, is that in addition to the torsion twist 2 "? a body lift is not an option as im not willing to invest in it. I could use some help deciding as this is a low budget expy lift. i picked up the bf goodrich h2 tires used for $200 the set so im am definatly trying to keep cost down.

Confused by the not willing to invest in it. typically BL are the cheapest dollar per inch lifts available.

well, coil over conversion is $230 + $250 for install and a quik job($500 total). body lift runs $200 + for kit plus $500 $700 total) for labor extensive job . both give a 2-3 " lift. Also the air ride could eventually go as opposed to coil spring coil over conversion would probably be that last i hear from the suspension repairs. I have pal that owns a body shop and basically said a body lift is not worth the labor unless im going all the way to 6 " lift (bl tt and conversion). i basically need a small lift so the 315s could fit a little more comfortable. primary use of truck is for bad snowy weather , occasional trail off road driving. just trying to pick some brain here so that i can make an economical choice.

kapitan, this is the rule of thumb I use, cheap and good are inverses of each other when it comes to suspension. Sure you can tweak the torsion bars to get another 2 inches out of the truck. But, a lot of people have complained about a harsher ride from the truck. Also, your ball joints are going to be near their max and any sudden downward travel can lead to early failure (think potholes). So, you can pay some up front when it comes to doing a lift correctly or you can pay for it over time replacing parts as they wear out faster.

The $200 difference is not even the cost of having the upper control arms replaced 1 time. I know this isn't necessarily what you want to hear, but I think you will find out that it will be better in the long run.

If you need to know anything about lifts, just ask. There's a few of us that have maxed out what the truck can handle. I am one of them. I'm running 37's with only a 4" suspension lift. Now, I have tweaked the body a little bit to make sure of no rubbing issues, but most of that was very simple stuff. The only "major" work I did was cutting about an inch off of the back edge of the front bumper.

ummmm sry but if a body lift is too much of an investment... you dont need to do a lift.
crank the tbars once you pickup monroe part #90010 and get a 2 or 3" spacer. You'll probably not be able to fit 34.4's like that on a 2" lift with out major rubbing and cutting.

Thermo I agree with you but doing things on a budget isnt bad for your truck as long as you do it the right way and not the "cheap" way

Also dont count install into the cost of a Coil conversion... it was the easiest thing I've done to the truck and the best literally 2 bolts upfront and about 8 in the rear unbolt, pull out old put in new, rebolt. As far as the body lift goes.... I did that myself too lots of man hours but well worth it Total cost for me lifting my truck 5/6": $450 including the coil spring conversion kit. Thats lifting on a budget for ya
