First one looks mean but that's the whole package. The second one is more halfway there and looks a little out of place.

Thats the one I hated! LOL I was all for it until I saw that link with those "full wide bodied" Expeditions. Those things unfortunately look hideous, especially if you put the wrong tire under it. Those BFG mudders looked terrible and small under that thing.

I was totally wanting to do this, especially since ive got to replace pretty much my entire front end (thanks to my wife) so I thought why not go pre-runner?? I did however really like the look of the FabTech fenders. They were subtle and not overly obnoxious. They got the job done without screaming "look at me!" I think I may look into those if I can find them.

as for the tires looking small... thats because of long travel suspension its cool to have supper big tires and be a mudder or a street queen but when you are going fast off road and you tend to jump the truck a lil bit you cant have huge tires or they will rub. my buddies 86 chevy longbed has a 6 in lift and he has 33-12.50's and yes they do look small but they still rub when you fully flex the suspension. if it was a street truck he could easily tuck 37's but once we do the trails we do he would be screwed. when you jump the truck which is heavy those tires will go all the way up and if they dont fit in the wheel opening your in for some sliced tires and some destroyed fenders.

the top one is not a LT sus. its just a lift. a 6/4 lift. i forgot how i found it. its a really weird company that makes weird lifts like that. 6/4 4/2 super cali lifts like that. that white bottom one im gonna try and copy mine like that. dixon bros sus in the front and a custom coil overs in the rear. fully caged and sus seats. its super nice inside.

Personally I think the Trophy Truck style front fenders are overkill but they are designed to tuck 37-39" tires with 20"s or more of travel and cover 90" wide front suspension. And yes they do make those Toyo MT 37's(maybe 35's) look small. As you said there are more conventional fenders available.

All the prerunner look is is fiberglass fenders, a low lift(no more than 4"s),a minimalistic tube bumper up front and usually fake beadlock wheels. Real prerunners are another story but the look is easy to get

Then what the hell is the point of those modified big wide fenders in the rear? That looks retarded if you ask me… :rotflmao:

saw a mid 2000's dodge 2500 crew cab 4x4 on 40's with no front bumper and the front flares. the flares looked ridiculous cuz all of the tire was below the fender. so it looked wide open. :nono:

Its All About You

I can see where someone would dig that look. I love watching the trophy trucks, and there are pleanty of F150's out there running in Baja with them. Far be it from me to piss on what someone else thinks "looks" cool. All personal opinion, and if you dig it... do it! As far as the daily life of fiber I would keep an eye on it in the cold, it can get brittle with severe cold, I had a glass pannel on my FZR crack cause I banged into it in the cold garage out here in CO. I doubt it would have broken in the summer. Of course that is all generalization and assumptions, no idea the components of the Fiberwerx group. Oh and by the way, Jason McNeil (owner of Fiberwerx) is a very cool dude. I have had a few phone conversations with him on some of my other off road projects (Yota), and I would give them first shot if you decide to pull the trigger. Good Luck man, and build what you want!

Hi there, the only drawback to fiberglass is that when it cracks or is dented, you have to replace the whole thing. Your all-black expy looks good already without any more accents and imo, getting stainless steel fenders would be a good match to that all-black thing you have going on. :) If there's a fiberglass fender with a glossy or metallic-paint finish, go ahead. It's still your money and expy so it all depends on you what you want do with it.

Some look awsome. But it depends on these expy's. Some look good but many look like crap. But its a personal thing, if u like it. Do it!! :)

But looks good when the truck is baja'd out!! :)

Keep in mind that fiberglass fenders were made to break off during racing or prerunning. So If you buy a set don't exptect them to be perfect. There will be imperfections in the fiberglass. Some glass companies make a little thicker glass than others. Glassworks makes a good product. McNeil and Fiberwerks makes the best looking most aggressive looking fiberglass. However, thier glass is designed for off-road use and not show trucks. My truck was built with the intention of Chasing my friends out in the desert. Did I need the glass? NO!! A stock Chevy 2500 is one of the best chase vehicles made. It's all about what makes you happy. I've always been a desert boy (born and raised in Arizona) and only owned big trucks. So it's not unusual for me to do something like this to my truck. Is my truck overkilll and unnecessary? YES. Pretty much a waste of money. But I like it. Chicks dig it too. - Hunter
