From what I’ve seen, I won’t have that issue. Pay for quality, get quality. Pay for cheap shit, then you have to go through 3 sets to find a good one like you did and they probably still aren’t as good as these
None of the eBay crap that's half the price is going to perform like the SL1 will. EBay stuff is just intended to light up not to maintain the correct beam pattern but the SL1 was designed by a company that stands behind their products and made sure they Focus exactly how the halogen bulb does

The few reviews I could find on these sl1’s weren’t that great. No aftermarket led bulb will come close to the light output of a quality hid kit. If your just looking for color then I’m sure you’ll be happy with them, but if you actually want more usable light on the road then I have a feeling you’ll be very disappointed.

Not hating just saying. Spend your money however you want, but for the same price I would have got their hid kit.

Maybe. All I know is I’ve never seen a led bulb put out more light than a oem halogen bulb. Most people confuse brightness as usable light, but the light can be brighter with actually putting less usable light on the road. But like I said, spend your money how you want to, I don’t care. I hope it works out for you, I’m just not willing to try it out from past experience.

Easy killer

I went through 3 sets because I wasn’t receiving what I had bought as far as wattage and light output. They kept sending me the wrong bulbs. But with all three sets I had no issues with fittment or the dust cap not going on.

I’m cheap yet you won’t run 93 octane with a tune. That’s funny

I don’t have a tune and I’m not looking to spend extra $10-$12 a week for 93 that isn’t available at every pump. 87 octane tune is just fine in many ppls opinions.

Apparently you haven’t tried DD LEDs who would’ve been on their A game and sent you what you ordered the first time instead of dealing with EBay/ Amazon junk. Don’t knock it till you try it. @07xln and @sixsix please quote me in a link that is directly related to a bad review of these bulbs on a 2016 expedition

Now that's just not true

I've tried some crappy LEDs before, true, but the (different)LED fogs I have on my truck and my bimmer are both extremely powerful

You are right but the SL1 is the exception to that. The SL1 is also very new so you won't see many reviews yet but they'll be coming soon I'm sure

Never said anything about reviews on an expedition, but here’s one on a ram with projector headlights. He liked them so much he returned them and got hids. And you can see from his pics the less than stellar light output.

Here’s a sneak peak from the thread. Hids on top, sl1 led on bottom.

Not valid output shots in my opinion. The alignment is wacked on the second picture so I question what kinda changes were made or even if the bulbs are seated correctly.

Hid will still perform better but if were talking a reflector or halogen projector the sl1 will put light only where it belongs

Production started August 2017. 3 months after that small orders started to trickle in. I'd consider that pretty fresh to the market

Most are still on the EBay is cheaper crap so theres really not a ton out there yet

I agree. They look very uneven and it’s a dodge. I drive an expedition. The pics Ive seen from three 2016s on Facebook with SL1s look like the Dodge first pic. Again find me a review on a 2016 expedition and we can talk

I’ll wait for your review, but I’m sure you’ll over hype it and even if they are terrible you probably won’t admit it. I’ve seen enough pics of them that look just like that on the dodge to know they are no different than any other led.

Were the diode dynamics SL1 plug and play. From what I have seen they plug into harness inside the light housing with the driver installed inside the headlight housing, is this true. Also, how would you rate them as far as light and endurance. As far as adjusting did you adjust the light with the adjustment screw on the headlight or did the SL1 have a collar that had to be adjusted for correct illumination. Thanks!

The LIFE CYCLE of an LED product these days is like 6-9 months

After that the market offers the exact same thing 10x cheaper and 50% moar power for ...still 2-4x cheaper
