Hey guys i know when i fist posted pics on here a while ago of my truck, alot of people told me to paint the trailer hitch. After all this time i finally got to me, couldnt stand looking at no rust on the truck exept the trailer hitch. So i painted it chrome. How does it look? The last pic is the before picture.

He painted it silver, these hitch bars always rust that color. I like the look, its different. Mine is just painted black, pretty much anything is better than what it was originally, nice job!

Good Job, looks great. Chrome or silver isnt my thing, but it looks much better.

What did you buy to use? Did you remove it, or just tape it off in place?

that would have been a good idea on my old 1st gen. i actually gashed my forehead by walking into the corner. of course it was while tailgating so alcohol was involved.

i removed the trailer hitch then sanded it down with a wire brush on a drill. Then used tremclad rust paint primer and then 2 coats of chrome paint

Yeah I definitely like the black look better, but if YOU like the silver Kevin, thats what counts!

I dont mind it i mean i think that black gloss would have looked better but w.e its like a crap load better than rust, that is all that counts to me. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes.
