Where exactly is it leaking? If the sunroof drains are clogged it usually runs down the A-pillar, but it could just come straight down if there is a clear path. Open the sunroof and locate the drains in the corners of the "pan" and slowly pour some water in them. If the water backs up, they are clogged and need to be cleaned out, or the rubber outlet is stuck together.

part of the problem is that i cant open the roof. when i push the button one side of the roof drops down low enough to slide back but the other side doesnt. why i said i wasnt sure if it was a sun or moon is because everytime i pushed the button i could only get it to prop open but after looking at it today i can see why it never when back. even when the roof is closed the good side is flush with the roof and the other side is alittle high.

Well it sounds as if the problem is a misaligned/broken sunroof....maybe even combined with the clogged drains. I really don't know about any adjustments you can do yourself, but I would assume you would have to remove the headliner. Maybe try searching for an adjustment procedure for the sunroof and see what comes up. Good luck.

Found this on another forum.

Make sure that your sunroof is adjusted properly though. I had to readjust mine the other day. there are 4 torx bolts that you can see from inside the truck that hold the glass to the frame. You can loosen them and adjust the glass up or down so that it sits int he hole making proper contact with the roof edge.

today i took the sunroof apart and found part of the problem. there is a metal piece that has 2 plastic guides that slide back and forth. one of the guides are broke. had my wife take it to ford to get a new one. they couldnt find it and told her that if it is part of the track i would need to buy the whole track. the full track cost $600.00 but the guy told her to check on line she could find it cheaper. where should i look? anyone else have this problem its crazy that i need a full track for a little broken peice of plastic

Try a junkyard/salvage yard first. Good chance there is a Gen 1 with a sunroof that you could pull the part off of.
