Flat Tire with 22" wheels.

I put my 22s on today and got to thinkin what if i have a flat. The wheels came with a 275/35-22 tire. So they are are alil smaller around than stock. I was thinking once these wear out of goin to a 305/45-22. But these have 75% tread on them.

But my truck is a 98 4x4 Navigator. But it has the 2wd switch that i drive in most the time. If i have a flat in rear. Would i have to take a 22 off the front to put on rear axle so it spins at same speed. Will the stock tire mess up the Transfer case bein in front even though its in 2wd.

45 series tire may rub…u might be able to put a 5th rim underneath as a spare…I know 24'z and 26'z are to big to be a spare underneath so take some measurements

A buddy of mine has a 305/45-22 on his with no rub. Id imagin maybe in a 24 or 26 it would. That was myplan but till i do. Would it be safe to just put the spare on front bein in 2wd mode if i had a flat.

If the rear diff is open, then different size tires won't hurt (except handling), only with an LSD does it matter - and then they must match or you'll pile up the LSD...



I only mention it because I couldn't see any reference to if your truck has a rear LSD or not

Idk if it has a LSD or not. Would i be better off just puttin spare on front then and stayin in 2H to be safe if it happens.
