After doing some research, including a video where they mounted 6 different sets of tires on a new Tacoma, and tested them in wet, dry, and emergency lane changes, etc. The test including the Michelin tires you suggested. I think I’m going with Continental Terrain Contact H/T. They are a bit less expensive than the Michellins and performed the best out of all the tires they tested. Thanks again!
I just put these continentals on my nav, however, I went up in size from 285/45 to 275/50s. From videos ive seen, the continentals were the closest in performance to the Michelins.
saw you put michelins on, How do you like em on yours? Only put 10 miles on mine so far lol

I really like them. I drove to work one day and the roads were plowed earlier, but there was still quite a bit of fresh snow on the roads. They handled great. My back end only slid on me once - but I drive all 2 lane, curvy back roads to work. I’m quite happy with them.

Well were almost home from our trip, and i think I made a mistake. I wanted to go bigger to help stop all the nvh concerns over rough roads, but I wanted to keep how smooth it rode otherwise. Idk if its the actual tires or if it was because I went up in size, but this ride back was extremely stiff. At first, in town and city roads, it did what i wanted and i was extremely happy about it. Yes, the tires felt a tad firm over expansion joints, but never harsh. However, as soon as i got on the open road, it flipped on us. The tires clomp over every imperfection and any pattered roads still caused vibrations, but added impact harshness that wasn't there before. Even my wife was like its nowhere near as nice as it was before. Im calling discount tire first thing monday to see if it needs a rebalance or if I can swap to another brand.

I got my continentals exchanged for Michelin and so glad I did. However, something peeled the metal on my running board and now I gotta see what I can do to get it fixed.

So there was a little delay on me actually getting to truly give them a try, I had to have the transmission rebuilt within a few weeks of having the tires put on. Since having that done, I've had a little time to drive the vehicle with the new tires.

Dry pavement conditions I didn't notice any significant road noise, however, the better half reportedly noticed a slight uptick.
Wet conditions, I have had excellent grip and no signs of issues with hydroplaning with significant rain fall or area of pooling water on roadways exist.
Snow conditions, I have had perfect grip and no issues with stability. The previous tires I had (Pirelli Scorpion AS PLUS 3) were slick on snow, and felt unstable. These bite through the snow and maintain grip. The only few occasions where I have felt any kind of traction loss, it was from me operating in 2WD, instead of 4WD, or due to underlying ice.
Ice conditions, the tires feel grippy, however, without a studded tire, there is always some traction loss.

I would 1000% recommend these tires. They are what I put on both my Expedition and the wife's Wagoneer; both of which have had excellent results. In the area I live and work, we've had between 13' and 14' of snow this season. Since replacing the old tires, my expedition feels completely different in snow and on ice, significantly more stable.

Hope this helps.
