I can't give away all my secrets but here goes in a nutshell.

The stock 02's handle the change in fuel, i simply allow a greater range of adjustment so it won't throw a check engine light.

The computer will automatically add pulsewidth no external boxes.

Timing is set-up the same as a premium unleaded tune so you won't lose as much economy.

The add-on boxes for fuel upping don't adjust the timing and you will lose close to 30% economy on e85 that drops to only about a 15-20% loss with my tuning.

You get the program on a custom programmer similar to the brand X you can buy and re-flash your truck...

You can put gas in the tank and it will drive normal without having to reflash.....

Also vast improvements in drivability on gasoline through my tuning of the transmission and other items....

Thanks, interesting info.

Will it still run on 87 octane after this, or would I have to use 93 instead?

What's cold starting like with E85? It gets really cold in Colorado in the winter.

I know you've run on E85 yourself. Is your fuel pump stock and still working properly? I guess one would need to replace the fuel filter a couple of times after beginning to use E85.

No problems.... Here is my suspicion... if you were an engineer with the big 3 and you knew that we are already using 10 percent ethanol and probably going more in the future (like 20-25%) wouldn't you design the fuel system to handle higher concentrations just to be safe? All of the fuel system components do just fine on ethanol and it isn't nearly as corrosive as methanol.

The premium tune makes up for the higher cost of premium unleaded because it gets better mileage so you come out the same. It also makes more power than you can make on regular.

Well i just did a test with E85 on mine and dropped 20 percent economy in city/highway driving. Knocked down 13 which is okay since it is so cheap compared to premium especially...
Now i need to upgrade my fuel pump, it doesn't have enough capacity to fully support my fuel needs at 9lbs of boost. So there's the verdict on the 03 fuel pump. Enough for up to 6 pounds of boost when running on e85, not enough for 9lbs though..
