Hi, All.
Three months ago my truck's starter began slipping (whizzing), so I decided to have the whole thing replaced since the bendix gear was worn and it made sense to get a whole unit. Yesterday it slipped again so I had it looked-at. Turns out the flywheel ring gear has a worn tooth, maybe more. It doesn't happen all the time, but my question is: will it be okay to not have it fixed right away? Or am I looking at the possibility of more damage (apart from the risk of it not starting altogether)?
My truck is a 2005 EB, with 91,000+kilometers (roughly 57,000 miles).
Thanks.
