I have strobes in my fog lights that havent been working right. They are only in now to fill the hole I drilled into each light.
I was thinking about opening the hole a bit more and adding another light bulb. Like the bulb you use in a after market fog or offroad light. Something like a 100w. I wouldnt run it with the normal fog light on..I could but it might get to hot.
Would the fog light houseing handle the heat from this type of bulb?
Theory on doing it. I would plastic weld some tabs to use a spring holder “dont know what they are called” like you use on a after market light to hold the bulb in. Then just use some RTV around the lip of the hole, place bulb in by hand with just enough force to mold the RVT, let set till it cures then pop on the spring.
What you think? Melted fog light?
