Where is the "how to" on how to make it so you can turn on your fog lights with just your running lights?

Jay, I am not sure where the write up is, but if you follow this general guideline, this will get the job done.

- remove the headlight switch from the dash and unplug the 2 connectors on the back of the headlight switch.
- with the headlight switch on a table, disengage the 2 (maybe 3?) clips holding the switch into the housing, pull back just slightly then wrap the switch assembly in a towel (TRUST ME!!!!!). Then remove the switch the rest of the way. By doing this, you will capture the spring that is inside that will pop out with some quickness.
-With the spring, plastic over, and headlight switch set off to the side, look at the base of the headlight switch trim piece. You will see a plastic ramp at the bottom. You want to shorten that ramp one position worth (or about a 1/2" on the one end where it tapers to nothing). Make sure you still have a ramp as this is what will force the fog lights to turn off when you turn the switch to the OFF position. At this stage, cut off less and trim anything additional as needed. Using a dremel tool is really handy at this point.
- redistribute the grease inside to put a layer on the freshly cut plastic.
- place the spring in the hole on the side of the headlight switch, place the plastic cap over the spring, compress and slide the headlight switch back together.
- install a jumper wire running between the brown wire on the large plug to either one of the white wires with a black stripe on them. I recommend removing the pins, soldering a 22 to 18 gauge stranded wire to the 2 terminals and then reinstalling them into the plugs.
- install the headlight switch and enjoy.

On a side note. You will need to be aware that this mod can place you in a legal bind in some states due to violating the 4 beam rule. If you have your fog lights on along with your high beams (as the fogs will no longer turn off when you flip on the high beams), you will technically have 6 beams of light coming off the front of your truck (2 low beams, 2 high beams, 2 fog lights). This is a possible ticket. Granted, if you are out on a back road all by yourself, I do not see this as a problem provided that when you have someone coming out you, you dim your headlights back to only lows and fogs.

Thanks,
When you are referring to the jump wire between the brown wire and either white wire with black stripe, Would that be in the plug from the dash that would plug into the back of the headlight switch?

Both plugs (the main plug has the brown wire, the small 2 wire plug has two wires in it, both are white wires with a black stripe) are plugged directly into the headlight switch.
