This is my first post so i guess that makes me the new guy haha. I've been on the broncozone forum for a while but now i've upgraded to an 01 expedition. My question is this. I got a new fuel filter for it and it seems to have different clips than whats on it now. I have the factory service manual and it says you need a special fuel line removal tool. Is that true or is it easier than it looks? i've never had an issue changing a fuel filter before but i dont want to go jerking on those clips that are on it now and break something. its got 215,000 miles on it and it looks like the factory filter lol so i'm sure its time... thanks for any and all insight.

if it is like my old explorer the tool just slides onto the filter, you push it towards the filter and it just falls off. Recently I changed my 2003 expedition filter and I dont think they used the clips but I had a hard time finding it as it was hidden in a plastic cover.

I got the tool from a auto store, I think it had a 4 pack of different sizes and wasnt too much money
