Garmin maps for Ford Navigation

My 2012 Expedition was purchased new and is used in Peru. It came with Navigation and north American maps and Ford does not offer maps for this country thus I have always used a Garmin GPS truck size unit mounted on the windshield with navigation maps of Peru.
It would be great to be able to produce a Ford compatible map from a Garmin
file. Anyone know about software to do this? I understand Ford Navigation uses proprietary map file formats, is that correct?

I had the same trouble in my Lexus while living in Bolivia...someone is missing a wonderful business opportunity.

In 8 years I never saw one car of any make with a working GPS unit.

The development effort would cost much more than a really nice aftermarket unit and integration adapter.

The built-in GPS isn't great. I use my phone much more often. Plus, the cost to upgrade the factory GPS is stupid...
