Anyone using them? If so, what is your experience with them? The automotic octane adjusting tune does not producer the maximum HP gains w/ 93, but I like the idea that I don't have to worryu about what "tune" is running, and absolute max pwer gains is not as important as driveability and being safe(r) if it gets filled with lower octane fuel. https://www.ghtuning.com/product-category/ecoboost/2015-2021-expedition/

Sorry that I somehow missed some posts about GearHead tuning. It appears their tunes are very good. If anyone has new/additional thoughts, I'd love to see them.

Gearhead, ZFG are both excellent options. Our otherwise Stock Expedition does 0-60 on ZFG's 93 tune in 5.04. Not bad for a 2020 with 22's FULLY loaded Limited Max....

Stay away from LMS for 2018-2024 Expedition. Sorry, but the trans tuning is TERRIBLE. Please go with somebody else.
Didn’t know that. I know 5 Star tuning had similar problems. I’m more from the Explorer ST side of things and even LMS isn’t good. Should’ve known better.

Adam at ZFG does awesome work, didn’t know he did the 3.5s so definitely recommend him too.

I did a lengthy post or two awhile back about Gearhead and some others. Haven’t been on here in awhile since I got rid of my Expedition, but still have an F150 so I’ll chime in.

I’ve had them all. I’ve tried them all. I’ve seen the inside of some guys’ files and even do some of my own tuning. I know how each company builds their files and understand the changes happening. That said, from a reliability and refinement standpoint, Gearhead is #1 for me. The newest GH stuff will accelerate and put you in the seat the same as all the others, but the refinement and time gone into the tune is noticeably better. Having talked with Matt and used him for years, he is as OCD as they come for perfection in his tuning.

If you want a set it and forget it tune, go GH. If you want to spank everyone in a race and have a very custom experience, go ZFG or MPT. I like them as well. But at the end of the day, it’s all preference based user to user.

If you want to tow a lot, get a trans. only tune from someone or tow stock with an intercooler and colder thermostat for great performance and reliability.
