I have had a Gibson side swept exhaust on my 03 Expo for about a year and some change. Although I am happy with the sound, the design is defective IMO. Where it meets the Cat on the remaining exhaust, the Gibson is too short and there is not enough overlap of the Gibson pipe and the remaining pipe. This leads to it constantly coming loose. I have cranked down on the clamp nuts, and I have tried rotating the clamp per Gibson's technical recommendation, which lasted for a few days before it came loose again. What a waste of money. And no reply from Gibson when i tried emailing them!!!

Does anyone have a recommendation on a different exhaust that they are happy with? Borla, Magnaflow???

Cheers

A lot of people say that Flowmaster is the best quality. Magnaflow is going to be about the same quality as your Gibson, so if you're sick of low quality parts, then I wouldn't get that. Some people on this forum say they like their Gibson a lot, so maybe you could search to see who has one and PM them to ask about fitment.

well 1st off dont use exhaust clamps. weld all the pipes together. its so much better. or find a buddy with a welder and can do it. it dosent have to be pretty just work. and i like my bullet. its nice and loud. and has a nice rumble at idle if im outside.

I have gibson headers on mine and I like them.Got rid of the y -pipe. The muffler is a magnaflow 2 in and 2 out with the built in X pipe. The system is true duals made custom at a muffler shop.Ohh it's 2.5" SS front to back. I do agree with the others you need to weld exhaust systems ...clamps don't last.
