going to install a drop down monitor

going to put a monitor in my third gen. has anyone done this and how hard/where do i secure it. i have done audio installs before but never a drop down. thanks

I don't want to go into the details neccesarily, but basic steps:

Drop the headliner
Put in metal cross brace (personal preference, really eliminates rattling/issues on the cheap roof)
Run cables to front (through A pillar)
Replace headliner
Cut Hole
Mount unit

Be aware, I did a 12.2 inch - much bigger and you will run into interference issues with the vents, also mount as far forward as possible for better viewing angles - notice my proximity to the vents:

Thanks. I just put mine in and its pretty much same spot as yours. Maybe a hair closer to the vents.
