I had my 2 new hubs installed today. i would normally do it myself but the exhaust shop that does all our work for the car lot only charged $50 a side so that was a no brainer.
I asked him about doing some exhaust work for me to free up some of the cats restrictions. I am going to delete the 2 rear cats but keep the O2 sensor heading back I will install 2 mufflers and hang the vertically side by side ( i saw this elsewhere) then head out back with one pipe following the original path of the single exhaust that dumps out right behind the left rear wheel, then the opipe on the drivers side will follow a similar path and dump out right behind the drivers side rear wheel. No chrome tipos or anything like that just want to keep a factory look. true dual exhaust
I think it will really open up the breathing, increase fuel mileage and performance

Jay, stick with 2.5" piping all the way. DOn't step up to 3" tubing. THe 3" tubing is great for 4,000+ RPM in these motors, but how often are you there compared to say 2,000 RPM?

Another thing you may want to consider is going with say a single muffler with dual ins/dual outs. Otherwise you are going to need some sort of crossover pipe. THis helps out the engine and if done right, can improve the power gains too.
