New member....New ( er ) truck.
Ol retired guy just needed a replacement for my 1991 exploder...

1999 Expedition 2WD Eddie Bauer...
Got for 2400 186K on the clock, heads rebuilt, runs strong... has issues.
Hey what do you expect from a used car lot next to a **********..LOL..
Was surfing here and got some good info, so I though I would join...

Need to do ALOT of reading.. then I'll post some " not so dim " questions...
Current MAJOR issue... EVAP system hasn't reset ( yet ) Gas cap was a leaker..
and the vac line from the throttle body to the evap control valve turned to powder. I replaced that.. and the engine idles much better. No other codes present.

That's my story... so far.

You may just want to reset the pcm to see if it reappears.

Otherwise I believe you have to complete a "drive cycle" which entails many various conditions of operation before the evap code will reset.

Well at least I'll try that today....I do SOME of my own work... to old to do trannys or engines anymore...but brakes , electrical, ECU's, sensors, AC, top end work... I do here.. If not I have my son's give the Ol man a hand...

I'm here.. and I think 6 & 14 are where I'm at... Oh and there are no " codes " al la P-XXXX it's just an INC on the scanner

Trucks at my fav tire shop getting new meats, front pads, radiator flush.... Day 2 getting expensive LOL
