I have had the Expedition for more than 2 years without a flat, now I have had 2 flats in 2 1/2 weeks. I am leaving on a 2500 mile trip in 2 days and now I am worried about the tires. They are in good shape with a lot of rubber left. I have a brand new set of Goodyear Wrangler RTS's that I bought for $300 for the set of 4. Unfortunately the vendor couldn't get them to Alaska before I leave.

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago.

I'd never had a flat up to that point, then two in a week.

If your flats are the result of puctures, then I think it's jsut a fluke. But check all tires over to make sure you don't have a nail or something in any of them.

If your tires simply failed due to defects, then I'd definitely be concerned about the others.

It turned out to be a bad valve stem. I think these are the original stems. I am 500 miles into my 2500 mile trip on some real crappy roads. So far no problems.
