Bought my first Expedition late yesterday evening (2005 Eddie Bauer).
This might be the first day of a very long relationship...obsession.
Been online all last night ordering floor mats and youtubing how to fix my TPMS, replacing my radio with a current Nav model with backup cam and catching up on common problems.

Was excited to find this forum.
I'm looking forward to being a student again and hoping to grow into a contributor.

Welcome to the DEAD forum

Hasn't been very active lately Many new members but very few get involved They ask questions get the answers they want and then disappear only to be heard from again when they need something or they are too lazy to look things up for themselves

But then every once in a while a good one come along

What is your problem with the TPMS?

Also being you have a 05 check under the rear near the spare tire and mounted on the frame rail id the Fuel Pump Drivers Module (FPDM) it is a common problem area mainly in the snow belt states Check it for any signs of corrosion. Shouldn't be a problem in OK but check it.

Got the "tire pressure sensor fault" on the message center. Read about the sensors, so I've Amazoned replacements.

Thanks for the heads up on the FPDM. I'll add it to my to-do list.

Also, noticed a problem while filling with gas. I assumed fumes not venting since the handle kept kicking off while filling. Yep, read again, carbon canister and/or vent valve. I'll work on that after taking care of the TPMS.

I come from a line of auto mechanics but was never interested in it or in learning anything but the basics of combustion engine. For some reason, after 50 years, I'm interested in doing the repairs, or at least some of them, on my own with this vehicle...we'll see how far I can tolerate it, or at least how far this forum and YouTube can get me.
