Hey there everyone, I just got my XP in March and have been loving it so far. I took off the OEM roof rack and had a pioneer platform installed. I just got my Howling Moon roof top tent installed today so I'm stoked. I have a 4 bike Thule hitch rack that is super solid so I can take my friends mountain biking. I also put in a custom liner in the back so my dog doesn't mess it up. (I have a 180lb St. Bernard named Chuck)

Things I'd love to find:

  • A custom front and rear bumper for offroading, not much that I can find for options. I want something that looks good, not from the 80s.
  • Some sort of ladder that can be used to get up to the rack but doesn't mount, since you can't over the hatchback.
  • Thoughts on smaller wheels/better tires for overlanding
  • Mods to toughen up the undercarriage.
  • Other cool mods folks have done for overlanding!
Nice to meet you all!

Ben

Hey Ben, I am just getting interested in converting my XP into an overlanding rig and I stumbled across this couple and their XP named Aspen. They have done a lot to it including some nice front and rear bumbers that you might like. Cheers and good luck. Maybe we can all get together for an XP Overlanding Jamboree one day! Here is the link for the couple and their XP.

For undercarriage, did yours come with skid plates?

Also, if youre concerned perhaps look into a lift kit
