Hand held tuners

Im looking to pickup a tuner for my 98 Expy. What do you guys use and how do you like them? I have a 5.4 with a K&N filter, the airbox mod and a 3" Magnaflow aftercat exhaust so im looking for something with a little adjustability.

I'm using Sniper, with a custom tune from Matt (green03).

Is it able to read and clear codes? How much does something like that cost?

Yes and yes. I can't remember the exact price, but I think it was around 400-500 dollars. Granted, the program lets you tune 2 Ford cars.

Do I get the Sniper from Matt directly? How much of an improvement can I expect (power, milage)?

From experience, you can expect grinning. Thats about it. Any milage gain is lost from being on it to much.
