Just curious. What content (options) have been removed, and what credit did your sticker show for the removal of those items/options. Of the items that have been removed, did your dealer contact you to get your acknowledgement/approval for removal of those items?? Pictures would certainly be appreciated. Platinums have been very scarce!

We picked up our 22 Platinum yesterday. Ford deleted the front multi-contour seats. The handsfree lift gate and the rear temperature controls were "deleted for now", which means the dealer will install when the microchips are available but they could not give us a timeline. It was $300 deduct for the multi-contour seats, $150 for the rear heat control, and $55 for the rear handsfree lift gate. The dealer called when the vehicle arrived to let us know these items were deleted but there isn't much you can do, the only option you have is to not take/purchase the vehicle. Just so you know, we ordered our expedition at the end of December 2021 and just picked it up yesterday 6/28/22 - it took 6 months but was worth the wait.
The multi-contour seats is what makes a Platinum a Platinum. I would not want one without them.

Mine's done being built, but had been on chip-hold from March until late May. Now it's been "awaiting shipment" since then. So far when checking the window sticker, nothing's been deleted from the time I ordered it in October. Unless they raid the shipping yard for spare chips, I think I'm going to have one of those rare 2022 fully-complete Platinums.

Mine has the same items removed and same credits as dpmd70 plus the removal of Active Park Assist and credit of $355. Mine has also been in Awaiting Shipping since 22-Jun-2022
I'm starting to wonder that based on all of the content being removed, whether it is actually worth buying the Platinum. I actually heard that additional things such as the signature lighting around the headlights, the power recline on the third row, and the power folding fourth row seats need to be removed in order to get the order scheduled. Other than the 400 HP 3.5L EcoBoost, what's the difference than a Limited or an XLT for that matter.
One difference only offered on Platinum is BlueCruise. Now is it worth all that additional cost without the other items above, that is only for you to decide. Until you get a window sticker it will be hard to know what will be actually missing.
Did you not take it? I mean can they really sell it as a platinum then?
Wow that's so disappointing!! The main reason we upgraded to platinum was for the gorgeous seats... We ordered our platinum in March, no update on the horizon. I guess we'll see what items they remove but without those seats I'd very likely NOT take possession. Or maybe take it and flip it right after... ??

Since all of you guys seem to be experts on the Limited and Platinum Options, Ive gone through the online build process a number of times and cannot seem to get a Black Leather interior on the Limited. I do not want the large LCD but absolutely need to have the Black Leather Interior. Am I missing something and how can I achieve my desired configuration of small LCD and Black Leather - among other options like HD Tow, Nav and Powered Running Boards?

Not liking the blacked out stealth. Cant understand why they would limit interior color choices, ive been buying limited with black interiors for 8 years - 3 vehicles.
I have a question about the removal of the Multi Contour Seats. Are they still the “Luxury Leather” with just the massaging function delete, or are they a less premium leather like you would get with the lower trim levels?
What color EXTERIOR are you trying to select? i think black interior is only available as a pair with certain exterior colors
Apparently, they are the same leather/same seats as those seats having the massaging function.

My Platinum was ordered last October, built late March, notified that was completed and released for shipped 6/22/22. was to be at dealer last week, no one knows updated delivery. My current window sticker shows no deletions, but anybodys guess on what I will get and when.

I ordered this 2022 expedition platinum 4x2 on 12/13/21. It was invoiced in Kentucky on 3/28 then placed into a "Chip Hold" until 5/16 when it was "Built." It has been awaiting shipment ever since. They started with that week as ETA for delivery but it has changed every week. Now it says expected 7/12-7/18. No telling when we will get it.
