I assume the wifes expy has had 1 door mirror replaced by the original owner. The drivers side door has a loud wind noise especially now that it is colder. I did find that Ford had a tsb back then for wind noise related to the door mirrors. The drivers door mirror plastic is textured and the passenger door is smooth. Does anyone know which one is original and if this is an indicator the tsb was done on one of the doors?

Both mirrors on my 08 are textured. I don't know if the TSB has been done. I didn't know there was a TSB to be honest.

I've had bad wind noise on my 2007 EL from the beginning. There was a mod on here where someone had inserted surgical tubing into their door seals and it supposedly helped quite a bit. I never got around to trying it.

If you have an Eddie Bauer then the textured one is the original one. Only the Limiteds came with smooth finished ( color matched )

Don't know if this TSB would apply as it was for 2007 MY

Thanks. I do have an EB. Both mirrors are natural plastic (black)- just one is textured and the other is smooth. It "sounds" like the wind noise is coming up the weatherstripping between the body and door. I can push in on it at highway speeds and it slightly changes it.

I have a 2007 Limited, I had terrible wind noise when the car was new. Ford installed new weather stripping and it worked for about 6 months, then the noise came back.
