headlight adjustment

Whats up fellas. Just brought a pair of aftermarket headlights and i am having.trouble adjusting the headlight beam. I have turned the long adjustment screw in the middle buy there is no up or down movement . I have noticed that the screw isnt hitting anything on the bottom its going through an opening. Is there a piece thats missing,

Nope...nothing is missing...make sure the top screws are tight...it will only move a little...and I mean a little...I have the same problem

Thanks for the reply. Been going crazy with this, one light goes up tje other goes down. Thinking about putting shims on the bottom to kinda even them out

The best way to do this is at dusk. park the truck 25' from a wall or garage door. You will be able to see the beam raise or lower as you turn the adjuster.

Hah, yea, the only problem is the adjuster screw is almost useless when it comes to actual vertical adjustment. For a while I used some shims on the two top screws to bring the beam down.

If you turn the screw circled in the picture (not my picture) it moves the low and high beam reflector bowls up and down without moving the whole headlight. I guess that's good if you want to aim your headlights while keeping the least amount of body gap between bumper and headlight.

where was this information when i was complaining about my headlights being to far on the ground??? did u just learn this??? can this be adjusted while still installed??? its cold...raining...but i dont want to wait...

You can but you will need long needle pliers , small wrench or small ratchet and i do mean SMALL because the space is narrow. Honestly its quicker if you pop out the headlight. Only took me 5 mins
