Has anyone used an 80/100 watt headlight bulb in their expy?
Any problems with the wiring harness or headlight overheating or melting?

I used these bulbs in other vehicles and had great results.
Hoping to go back to them.

+ 1 on the HID's. I put a set on mine a year ago for $70 and it has paid for itself. Not only are they brighter with no overheating issues, but every ( and I mean every ) thing with the smallest bit of reflective material lights up ( Great for spoting COPS camping in the medians and in dark areas because there cars light up like you put a spot light on it :D ). Well worth the investment in my opinion, and they last longer than a standard or high watt halogen.

Have not been able to find hid for 40$. Everything out there seems to be in the 200$ range. Any hints as to where i could find them for this cheap price?

Here is the exact kit that I have in mine and really enjoy it.

It is a HID Bi-Xenon ( HID High and low beam ) 8000k color temp ( very light blue tint ) and it is only 35w. It comes with the relay equiped wiring harness to hook straight to the battery and then you only need to use the headlight conection on the passanger side for a signal ( makes installation very easy, harness has the relay and is also fused just hook it up to the battery and plug in just the passanger side headlight plug to the harness. It only uses the headlight harness for a on/off and high/low beam signal so there is very little power actually going thru the factory wiring ).

I have been running this kit for over a year now and have put them in a few other vehicles and not one has had any problems.

$59.99 with free shipping ( sometimes there shipping is kinda slow but they have a good product ).

bhsoulja's is cheaper do to the different gen running seperate low beam and high beam bulbs. Since our gen is a 9007 ( single bulb/dual beam ) it cost a little more to get the Hid kit.

Here is the same kit but in a 50w version. I honestly think that this kit is over-kill and will cause A LOT of glare.
