so i need new headphones for the people in the truck...do i need to do anything when i get another set for the IR to work? or just turn them on and everything will be straight?

Most of the aftermarket headphones now will automatically look for the channel its on. I have the stock flip down along with 2 screens in the back and they all work great together. I bought a set that came with a zip up case.

Look on the menu settings on the screen it will tell u, some have 2 there pretty standard though, or you could do like tsingson said but those are a little more $$... I'm all about ballin on a budget lol

I am ballin on a budget. I saved money by installing them myself. I used that money to get the headphones. Actually they were cheaper than the ones best buy sells.
