CoolaCapture1.PNGCapture2.PNGnt leak and I have identified where it is occurring, I check the manual but cannot find out what the hose is that needs to be replaced. Can somebody help identify this and provide any insight?

Yes, those are the heater hoses, unfortunately it's a very common issue with these, the y-pipes are a mix of bad clamps and plastic to rubber pieces that often fail. I just saw a link recently but can't find it, where Fordtechmakuloco shows all of the coolant lines and possible leak spots on these, that he often fixes for customers when they bring their vehicles in.

Is the one in the picture the inlet (JL1Z-18472-B) or outlet (JL1Z-18472-C) hose?

Just replace both. They're fairly easy to do and the updated style seems to be much better.

Check amazon or rockauto for the oem hoses (or dealer if they arent overcharging). Get both hoses, chances are if both arent leaking one is right behind the other in terms of leaking.

IIRC, someone replaced the plastic Y pipe with a metal one keeping the hoses. Won't help that the quick fit connectors on the ends are still destined to fail as well. Expensive hoses.

So as some of you replaced your own hoses I was hosed at the dealer. I was told heater hose was leaking and yes I was leaking antifreeze but I could not find it. Went to try he shop 5 hours later and $913.00 why they said that here was one more hose leaking. I pray ford should have a recall on the junk hoses and connections.

That's actually a pretty reasonable price depending on what all hoses were replaced.

Unfortunately if there were to be a recall, it would have already happened. this issue has been around for a long time.
