Ok, I know right off that bat you're probably thinking blender door or the actuator for the blender door and you might be right, but I have questions..

So this morning I tried to do the quick and easy fix where you cut behind your glove box and adjust the door position, but when I made the cut behind the glove box my blender door wasn't there. Needless to say I was confused. I did however get to feel super cold air conditioning coming through the new hole I cut behind the glove box. I already knew the air conditioning worked though, because it works in the rear of the vehicle.. just not the front.

My thought was this.. could it be the knob in my heater control box? I tried to find one locally, but the ones the part store could find had four prongs and mine only has three. I'm thinking I might go hit the junk yard tomorrow and see if I can locate one there.

I was just looking for some additional advice on how to diagnose it, maybe somebody else had encountered the issue with heater control box and knew the right part numbers, or any other help you might be able to provide. My vehicle is the 1999 Ford Expedition XLT with third row seating and rear heating/cooling.
