Hi Expoforum people!

I've been trolling for a year or so but never posted. We'll sourmash ÎI and his zf-6 manual conversion really brought me in hook line and sinker lol.

Until recently I've been a unemployed UG/SF mine diesel/mobile mechanic.

I bought my first expo about 8 or so years ago. 2001 EB 4x4. I liked it but it was way under powered from the factory. We'll 8 years and 4 superchargers later. Ended up with the Vortech mondo J trim.

Went from a powerdyne aftercooled
To a vortech. S trim aftercooled
To a Lightning swap I never installed
To the big centrifugal.

Liked my first expo so much that we got another. 1999 xlt 4x4 5.4

Any how thanks for having me.

Welcome.

There's a supercharged expy group you might want to join as well as throw some more pics into an album.

Wow...

Had Vortech S-trim on my 89 LX Mustang. What's interesting is I purchased a used J-trim mondo kit for it but ultimately decided against installing it due to the limitations of the "stock" block so I ended up selling it.

The stang is now sold as well. :(

The J-trim should be capable of some serious boost on the expedition. I would love to try such a set up on the expy.

Let's hear some more details about your set up!!

Yeah I bet a J on a foxbody would be all kinds of fun.

I have pretty much the l swap as far as FI's,90mm maf set up for blow through,255 wb in tank.

The poor engine is on some borrowed time. All stock internals and I've seen 16psi. Usually around 12/14 when it's in the mid 50s.

Plan on building the lower end my self only sending the block in for the bore. Then having the heads cnc ported and matched to the lower intake.

Tuning has been key to it living this long lol. Snow is a stage 1 set to 5psi activation. This by far I think has saved my bacon with so so fuel a few times.

My after cooler might be a bit of a choke point. 3in/out. My charge piping goes from 3 1/2 to 3in. I wish I had the pipes fabed later on. They also have to be changed for the oval TB I'm going to run and the blower reclocked to clear the upper plenum.

Trans was rebuilt "bullet proof" in 2010. 3k stall. It's starting to act funkey agin. That's where the zf 6 speed sourmash did might happen. Cheaper then rebuilding this slush box4r100 ever couple of years.

Still have a 7inch crank pulley and a 2.50 input. Need to have a 8in or lager crank fabed up.

It's really cool to find all these blown expos in one spot. We're deffently not part of the main stream track world.
