Ok that’s what I thought. I only tow a 10’ box pop up camper, so I don’t need the HD tow package. Max weight of my pop up is 2750 or so.

My brake controller from Amazon came yesterday. Going to install it today.
We also own a 10 foot pop up around 2,500 lbs maxed out. We decided to go with the HD tow to allow us to upgrade the camper in a year or two (that's what the wife wants!). Just allowed us more camper options when we get there. You definitely won't have an issue pulling that camper around without the HD tow.

Well I got the brake controller installed. Unclipping the dash pieces was a little unnerving since I didn’t want to crack or scratch anything in this new to me car, but my trusty trim tools got the job done without any damage. It also helps that the pieces are new plastic—my other car (commuter/fun) is an 03 VW Jetta TDI, and all the plastic on that is old and brittle.

Now to get the brake controller enabled…
