I was told it would wreck havoc with the air suspension and cause it to constantly run. I have seen several of people on here with the kit but haven’t heard it causing any issues.

You CANNOT do a 3/2 with rear air suspension. Whoever you heard that from is 100% accurate. You would have to convert the rear air to shock and spring assembly then lift it. Sorry

Not totally true. So you can lift the front however you want but the rear you can replace the rear ride height sensor arms to make the rear sit higher. Ive had them on my 07 with rear load leveling for almost 2 years with no issue. They are custom made by a member of this forum

OP was questioning a 3/2. So you cannot do true 3/2 spacer lift

Correct but your first response would lead anyone to believe that with rear air a lift is not possible without a rear spring conversion. I just wanted the OP to know there is another way with rear air

You had to do other modifications to your air ride to make it work. A true bolt on 3/2 is a set of spacers. Modifying your ride height sensors is not true 3/2

Don’t tell ppl you can get a 3/2 lift but have to do all this other work to the air bags for it to work bc none of the kits come with instructions on how to install it with rear air suspension.

What experience do you have with installing a 3/2 lift in a truck with rear air? Clearly none because you’re telling people they have to replace their rear air suspension with steel springs to make it work which isn’t true and you’re making the adjustable rods out to be the hardest thing in the world to install.

Even in the 3rd gen forum you’re a troll!

The adjustable linkage rods come with directions and also an approximate height gain per full turn. Install takes 10 minutes and works mint.

The OP wants a lift so I gave them a way to have the lift they desire and not covert the rear so I'm not sure why thats an issue

bc there is no lift you can buy that comes with every necessary piece to lift the truck with air ride suspension. You apparently have to buy the 3/2 kit then buy more stuff from another manufacturer to mess with the air ride and hope it works. Find me a kit that is air ride specific, that lifts the truck 3/2, does not require purchasing extra components, and is made by a single manufacturer and I’ll stop arguing.

They can't be ordered from 1 manufacturer so I guess you got me there.... However, buying just a front 3" lift and the adjustable links will be cheaper than buying a 3/2 from 1 manufacturer.

Bottom line is getting the lift they want is possible with air ride and you telling them they need to do a conversion or its not possible is false. they are still going to get the height they want but need to source the parts from 2 different manufacturers.

Whats wrong with giving a member the option to save some money? Why lead them to believe the only option is a conversion?

I have followed this forum for a while now and I guess I assumed all 3rd gen Expeditions had air ride. If all of them don’t then why can’t the ones that don’t use a bigger lift? Why is it only the 3/2 I see? I want mine to be higher than just 3/2 but seeing all the crap that comes with it bc of my air ride it doesn’t seem worth it.

IMO the 3/2 doesn’t make a huge difference from what I’ve seen. Of all the dang SUVs and you can’t but a bigger lift on it just Ps me off.

Where do you suggest me finding just the 3” lift for the front?

I personally would go with the proryde front lift. You have some adjustment up front and the rear so you can sorta fine tune to what you like.

Also its recommended not lifting the front over 3" because the hard angle it creates on the upper control arm can causes issues with the ball joint. I uniball ball joint/control arm can remedy that though.
