Help please? 4x4 light blinking

Hello folks! I have a 2004 EB Expedition with a 5.4. The "4x4 high" and "4x4 low" dash lights are blinking 3 times and then again a few minutes later. I don't seem to have any 4x4 ability, just 2x4... Which is horrible today because we just got a FOOT of snow. ugh. Any advice out there??? Much appreciated btw!!! - John

Its probably the shift motor on the back of the transfer case. Sometimes you can tap on it with a hammer whilst someone moves the switch and it will free up.
