Help problem with 01 Expedition acting weird when taking of and turning

my 01 Expedition is doing something funny, when i am stopped and start to go and am turning on the drivers side it seems like it is losing traction for a brief moment. It acts like I am flooring it but I am not.

Any ideas on what to check? I am new to Ford SUV's

Sounds like the trans is slipping

maybe low trans fluid and it's splashing away from the pickup in the pan.

I had this same type of problem in my 97. I had the transfer case fliud changed, and the rear diff fluid changed and the problem was gone. Not sure which one fixed it, but neither was expensive. Hopefully this helps.

My mountaineer acted like that. It was a bad wheel bearing setting off the traction control.
