I have a couple problems with my Expo and was wondering if anyone could help me. First I get this annoying rattling noise when I'm in any gear and my foot is on the brake. I can feel under my feet and its really loud. I took it the dealer about 10 times and nobody could fix the problem and now my car is out of warranty. Second my truck has the air suspension ride but lately the ride has been very very bad. I changed the shocks in back less than a year ago but it's still bad. And last my back vents open up and its seems like one is loose becuase I get a rattling noise from back there when I'm hitting bumps and also when you touch it, it seems loose. Anyone know how to tighten it, as far as what size tool. Sorry it seems like I'm typing my life away but I love my truck and want to fix everything. Thanks for anyone trying to help me out, I appreciate it.

First, if you had it at the dealer for the same problem 10 times then you should have went over somebody's head. All you have to do is ask the dealership that you wish to speak to the regional service manager. Or better yet, call Ford direct! Phone: 800-392-3673

"The squeaky wheel gets the grease!" Tell the rep. what you have been through, your dissatisfaction and that you expect it to be fixed and under warranty. Then take it to another dealer.

Now, the rough ride. Is it speed sensitive? There are a few things that can cause it.
1. Tires-
2. Loose or worn wheel bearings
3. loose or worn suspension components
4. Brake hub and rotor components
5. Loose or worn drivetrain components
These are just a few that the service manual says can be wrong. If you can describe it a little better, maybe we can narrow it down.

Last, the vent window are held with four nuts to the body and by a clip that is attatched to the regulator. You have to remove the c pillar trim panel to get to the nuts. Open it and check the clip first.

I personally would call the phone number, tell them your situationa and your other problems, and maybe they will fix everything for you at no cost. Remember, you have the advantage because you took it ten times for the same complaint

prcrboy... Do u think it could be converter shields? With your foot on the brake and the vehicle in gear I have heard that the shields could rattle quite a bit if they are loose. Rattles and squeaks can be a nightmare to find. I would also think that with these problems documented that Ford would stand behind them after the warranty also.

Could very well be, a squeak or rattle is very difficult to find. It could also be any of the heat shields on the exhaust. Only way to tell is to be under vehicle while making the rattle and thats not always possible.
