Ive been reading through some of the posts on here trying to diagnose a couple problems. I just recently purchased my expedition and im very happy with it so far

i have to drive around in 2nd gear because when it goes to shift into 3rd it revs out like neutral and i have to push the O/D button to keep it in 2nd. it started out where i had to let off the throttle when it would go to shift into 3rd and let the rpms come down and then it would engage and then be fine until i had to stop and repeat the process. check engine light was on and code P0743 pointed to the TCC solenoid. today i changed the TCC solenoid the filter and inspected the wire harness that comes down the passenger side for burns or any signs of damage, put it all back together and still the same thing

Yikes... Hopefully someone will meow knowledge on this jumps in but my guess is that you're having some transmission issues and if I were you that's where I'd take my next look

Yeah if no one jumps in here in the next day I'd start your own new thread... Being stuck in second gear is a pretty serious issue lol
