nvy you dont need to upgrade the housing. just get the HIDs that are the same bulb type as what your headlights are. you can get bi-xenon since you have hi lo together. id say go to http://ddmtuning.com/ since it is right by you.

go bixenon. its a little extra $$. like $5-10 i think per light, but then you can have the hi beams. which you need for cali anyways. my friend has hids in his lightning style lights and they are nice and bright. i think if you call up ddm it MIGHT be plug and play, but dont take my word on that.

if its plug and play then you have your connector for the stock lights. plug in the new harness, mount the ballast somewhere. install light. plug in light. turn switch. good to go. if its a custom set up, idk...? google and youtube are your friends there.

At least you don't have the fresnel housings. Those things suck.

I've also had success with VVME. The only issue on my sister's (9007) bi-xenon is the harness was wired differently. A quick google search fixed the issue. If you order the bi-xenon, it should already come with the relay harness, ready to plug in.

If you want to mod the housings, you can get projector retrofits (not the ebay crap). This would give the the best output, but this involves different bulbs (depends on projector, though probably D2S). This involves taking apart your headlight.

I dont have bixeons... just single beam in heads and fogs... all from HIDgate from ebay... but just tried to find them on ebay and nothing for sale under their name right now... I know I broke a bulb about a year after I installed them and they gave me a new one for free....

DANG! Half you guys are missing out! Sometimes I forget that other forums are not privey to another forums insight and knowledge. HID threads are a dime a dozen on my Lightning website...

Anyways, eBay is ok, but I wouldn't recommend them for longevity reasons. You get what you pay for...

Here's a reputable companies to buy from:

www.DDMtuning.com (this is the one that most of the Lightning guys are using)

Here is a great read, if you need an education on HID's:

Expeditionary, to do true HID bulbs, you need both a ballast and the HID bulb. There are some halogen bulbs that "claim" to be HID bulbs. THEY ARE NOT!!!!!!! A true HID bulb will have both a ballast and a bulb to do the lighting. If you need more info, let me know. I will give you more detailed information than you will care to admit to knowing.

thanks I read up on it a little and seems pretty simple, Im looking to get 10000k fogs, 8000k low beams, and 10000k H3 projectors that are inside my head lights, because I can turn them all on independently of each other except fogs I think the heads have to be on

there is a mod that you can do so you are able to turn on fogs without the headlights. cant remember where i found it but pretty much it just involves taking the switch apart, filing down some of the switch with a dremel, and putting it all back together.
