You'll loose your high beams since those aren't "bi-xenon" kits.

Also, I hate the lack of the female plug. It seems this kit just uses the metal pins and you have to stick that in the male side of the factory plug. Either way, it shouldn't be an issue if you get a relay kit since you can just cut the spades off and solder them to the wire on the relay kit.

What color did you choose?

It says it's a plug and play, but automotive electrical has never scared me if it isnt'. I got the 6000K, wanted a clean white. From what i've read, i'm not going to mind not having a high beam.

Just bought this kit, friend of mine got them for his car and they looked like a decent kit for less than the price of some silverstar headlights. I'll give ya before and after pics if anybody wants them once they're installed.

I bought that exact kit for my truck and I love them. So much more light. A word of advice, go get some 3M double sided cushion tape to use to stick the ballast box to wherever so it will hold.

I don't know about how it will work on a first gen, but on my second gen, it had a female plug you just had to insert the wires into it. Everything was plug and play except on mine I had cut a hole in the dust cover to run the wires.

i had those in my truck when i 1st did HIDs...they worked great and i still had my high beams...it was just pointless to use high beams cause the HIDs lit up everything...loved it...only reason i dont have them now is because i retrofitted my headlights....but i have that brand to put in my wife's 11" altima...never had any probs with them...and i paid............

$35...matter of fact...thats what im running in my fogs...almost 2yrs now

I like the 3M tape because I don't like the look of zip ties on anything but wires. That's just me.

Got my kit saturday. Forgot to take pictures of the kit. It didn't have a pretty package or boxed well, but I don't expect that out of a $35 kit. It was complete and that's all I do care about.

While I was doing this I also wanted to clean the headlight lens. So I pulled the headlamp assemblies out and used the Turtle Wax cleaning kit, followed the instructions, it took me about half an hour on my kitchen table.

To install this kit was very easy. Had to find out which wire was +/- on each plug dark blue w/ white tracer and green with an orange tracer were the +'s black were the -'s. Other than that it was pretty much plug and play. Hardest part was mounting the ballasts.

After HIDS

Whenever you can, swap to clear headlights, and you'll be able to see that much more :)

yeah that may have to come next. drove with them for the first time tonight and while they make a pretty substantial difference they need to be adjusted up and aren't quite as bright as i thought they would be. Still think it's a no brainer purchase for $35 (since a pair of silverstars are $40). I'll let ya know once i get them adjusted how they are.

There should be a headlight aiming guide in your owners manual. If not, there's plenty on line.

What color temperature did you get?

6000k. didnt want real blue blue stuff.
A couple of reasons they're not as bright as you may have expected is because:
- The original lenses are designed for a regular bulb, not HIDs and the focal point is different.
- The lense is diffusing, HIDs use clear lenses.
- The color temperature is 6000K, 4300K is the brightest and the same as factory HIDs.
