Hitch stabilizer

I tow an 18 ft travel trailer with my 2018 Expedition. What type of hitch stabilizers do you use? I have a Quiet Hitch but it does not fit well with the attached receiver.

Do you install the Quiet Hitch to hold the ball up or down? I swapped mine to hold the ball down and it keeps my 24ft quiet back there.

I have tried putting threads up and down. Could you please post a pic of how you install yours? Thx
