How can I purposely make it throw a code?

How can I make my Expedition throw a code while it's running. Making it throw a "pending code" would be even better. I want to test the new OBDII scanner I just got.

Just pull off just about any sensor wires. The MAF harness is pretty easy to get to, yank that one.
