How interchangeable are third-row seats?

Hi everyone, I had an '00 Eddie Bauer that I sold to a friend so they could pack up all their stuff and move out of state. They didn't want the removable third-row seat and left it with me, so now I'm trying to sell it separately.

My question is, can this seat from an '00 be used in Expeditions from other years? Can it be used in any model, or only the Eddie B XLT?

I'd be grateful if anyone knows or can point in the direction of an answer. Googling turned up nothing!

Best bet is check with your local auto wreckers. They have a database on what fits what.

I looked on Amazon and seat covers for the 3rd row seat fit 1998 to 2002.

It should physically fit a 97 to 02. The seat covering was vinyl in leather trimmed models if I remember correctly, and cloth on the standard XLT's.

Oddly, car-part.com does not show interchange between any individual year from 1997-2000. I stopped checking after that.

I could have sworn there was some model year interchange, but I thought the tracks for the earlier stuff (97? 98?) was different than the newer stuff.

Place a ad on Craigslist in the free section. They are basically worthless. They take up all your cargo space in back or extra room in garage. They are heavy to remove and install. They add extra 50-60lbs to waste gas.

I'm glad I haven't gotten rid of mine - it's sweet being able to cram myself and 6 co-workers into mine.
