2006 2wd EB 218,000 my dad bought it new in July of 06. I went with him to test drive it. Back in 2020 he was going to sell it and I told him there’s no way he can sell it, long story short he signed the title over to me and I’ve had it ever since. I replaced all the timing components at 209k they weren’t too bad but wanted to do it as a preventive measure. Full synthetic Oil changed every 5k miles since day 1. Doesn’t leak or burn any oil to this day that I can tell. Couple sets of brakes, tires, spark plugs, set of front struts and sway bar links. Other than that nothing else. This truck has never thrown a check engine light, never left anyone on the side of the road. Could use a core support soon. Now it sits in my garage and gets driven on nice days. Never seen the salt or snow and all original paint etc. interior is 9.5 out of 10. My mom and dad bought it when my younger brother was born so we’d have a family truck for road trips. Well now years later I take my
Daughter to her soccer games with it, I’ll never get rid of ole blue.

04 EB 5.4 2V 2nd owner. Truck was gifted to me with 300k+ miles and I fixed it up and have been driving it for years. Use it for jobs and pulling boats all over the country. Usually drive 100 to 110k a year. Current mileage 996k+

Wow, that’s a lot of miles! Has any major engine or transmission work been done on it?

Yes at 591k Teflon pieces from timing chain guides clogged up oil pump pickup and I spun a main bearing when oil pressure went to zero at 80 mph. Replaced engine with Ford crate motor(3 year unlimited miles warranty). Had transmission rebuilt twice. Service cannot be avoided. I work this truck hard. I have been though almost every system on it to make sure it will not fail while I'm on a long drive.

We have an early ‘03 EB 2WD 4.6, that has 306K miles, mostly original parts, well maintained, was primary family car. Pretty much garage kept and in the South so body in good shape also. Got a few gremlins running around but still going. She’s mostly retired, like us, now but still gets driven every week.

I have an 03' expedition xlt, with the 4.6, up to 235,000 on her. We got her about 9 years ago with 160,000 miles. Previous owner performed routine maintenance on it ,and wasn't driven rough. I continued with preventative maintenance, and have only had to change normal accessorie components such as: water pump, starter, ball joints, ac compressor, radiator, ect. However, she is my daily driver and I use the he'll out of her, and she still has original engine, timing chain, transmission, rear end. I can't complain, has only left me stranded one time when starter went out. I also understand it is now 22 years old and in car years that's old, especially for constant everyday use. I don't abuse her, and maintain her well, and I can go anywhere a new car can go. Atleast I know if something does break, it's fairly cheap to fix, and I can do it myself. Not to mention these engines run very smooth, are very reliable, and can surpass 300,000 miles easily if maintained and not abused.
