How sensitive is the alarm system on 2016?

Curious if anyone has any answers to this question. I was banging on the top of rear bumper, to break off some ice under the liftgate, and the horn honked. Tried again and it honked again. I also experience this while trying to clear ice off the hood. Is this a normal thing or is there something I need to look at?

It was locked.

Then it could have been the perimeter alarm

Hmm. Didn't think the 2016 Expedition came with one. Can't find any info in the owners manual.

Never heard of a perimeter alarm being on either of my Expeditions.

We had an alfa-hotel guy at work with one on his car. Annoying to even walk by the car so someone started putting a rubber traffic cone next to the car and letting it talk to itself all day until the battery died... I think the newer models may time out.

OK everyone, I'm back and the alarm on my 2016 Expedition has started going off again. The other day a pickup with a loud exhaust drove by it and set it off, while it was parked in the street. Today I started my 2011 Corvette Grand Sport with the Expedition parked in back and to the left of it and the alarm went off.

Anyone have similar issues and if so, how do I fix it. I'm not looking to aggravate my neighbors because of the Expedition.
