Hello everyone,

I am new here and this is my first post. I just purchased a 2003 Expedition XLT with the 5.4L. My power port in the top of the center console is dead. The one on the passenger side of the console works fine. I checked the fuse and it is good so I'm guessing the port it self is bad. How do I remove this powerport? I removed the screw below it thinking I would be able to pull out the recessed area of the console but it doesn't appear that that will work. Any idea on how to get to it?

I took some pictures of my truck to post here but I'm not sure how to post pics yet so the truck **** will have to wait.

In case you were unaware, the top power point and the side console power point have different fuses. The top one shares a fuse with the obdII connector under the dash. Just to make sure you are checking the correct fuse

You should have a rubber insert in that tray... Pull the insert and if I remember right it has two torx screws that hold it in.. Then it should snap out. If you cannot figure it out, let me know.. I have my old console in the shed and would be happy to snap a few pictures..

All fixed. When I removed the top of the center console I discovered it was unplugged. I checked for voltage, made sure the port wasnt shorted out and plugged it back in.
