How to tell the size of my rear end?

I have a 2002 5.4 liter XLT with 136k miles. I have 12 bolts on my diff cover. How can I tell what size the rear end is? I am trying to get a new pinion seal but I want to make sure I get the right one. Orielly Auto Parts has one for an 8.8 and one for a 9.75. Will my manual tell me or is it listed in the truck somewhere?

12 bolt is 9.75.

The 8.8 has 10 bolts. Someone just recently posted photos of both.

Yeah I counted my bolts and I have 12 so 9.75" it is. Thanks for the help.
