I HAVE A 99 EXPY 4X4 XLT...IT HAS A WINE THAT STARTS AT ABOUT 50MPH AND GETS REALLY BAD AT ABOUT 80MPH AND STARTS TO SOUND IN THE LEFT FRONT LIKE IM RUNNING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS??? ANY IDEAS??? THANKS DAVE

First thing to check is your tires.

1) Do they show any signs of abnormal wear?
2) Are they the Goodyear Wrangler RTS's?

On my truck, I developed serious issues with scalloping that caused the rumbling sound, and feel, becasue of this.

Also, the Wranglers have a history (based on numerous threads on several Exby boards) that tell of issues with this tire.

no i rotated and checked the tires and its not them at all i took the front d.s. hub out and noticed that it was a little dry and lubed it where the cv shaft goes through the hub and it got a little better but it still puzzeled me. what does a cv do when it goes badd??? or any other ideas??? dave
