none of those.

This is what i would do. If i had money just to say o well its only a few grand then i would do this. find a gt motor. 5.4 all aluminum. twin turbo. haha thats power. but what i really want to do is put an old navigator motor in mine. its a 5.4 DOHC. just like the gts motor, just iron block. putting out 300 horse and 355 ft-lbs. these r the same motors in the gt500s and the old svt cobra rs. so u know theres good. just some little power adders will make them better. who needs this kind of power? no ones. but who doesn't want this kind of power?

6.0 psd in an Expedition??? No, that's an Excursion, and I already have one. :D
The 4.4 diesel looks promising, and that's how I voted. But I think I'd get the supercharged 5.4

The 6.0L unfortunately wouldn't fit into an expedition, it would be amazing though. As for the 4.4 L diesel, I'd kill to get my hands on one. It's a huge let-down that Ford decided to shelf the project. It would have been a sweet engine swap for my truck. My trusty 5.4 is getting tired.

Give me the oil burner anyday. A small diesel with that much torque would be amazing. Plus think about the tuning possibilities with it. I'm sure you could find 400+ hp and 700+ lb/ft in that little beast.

i changed my mind. to bad its not an option. i want a 429 boss motor. the same on in the boss 429 mustangs. its ford "hemi". now your talking some real power. and theres a compnay that bores them out to 530 i think. i dont remember. but it did make upwards of 700 hp and 700 trq. cant beat that with pump gas. naturally aspirated too. think i might go that way when this beast become my project truck.

It would be diesel for me because like thevalleyboy, I too tow with my Expe, and I would love to buy a toy hauler.

You know, come to think of it, all I really need a big turbo and a huge tranny cooler and I would be set!! No more slowing down as you peak that 9,000 ft elevation! And having over 400hp would be awesome too!

Ford used to have the excursion that had the psd and the v10... now Fords biggest engine for towing in an SUV is the 5.4L which is just straight out embarassing when you're talking to a chevy or GM guy.

Not to be negative about ford or anything. I've been a Ford guy thru and thru since I was a kid (and now I'm 35). But if Ford can put 360hp in a Taurus, 412hp in a Mustang 5.0, why is the 6.2 only putting out 411? GM has had an engine like that for years. Shouldn't Ford step up the game and put 485 in this 6.2, seriously if the 5.0 has that kind of capability naturally aspirated then why?

I'm still a Ford guy, I think their trucks/SUV's are the best period.

What you're saying is true... but when talking about trucks you have to compare torque numbers because that's what matters when trying to accelerate heavy weight.

That is true.. but I still believe there is potential.
